Santa's Check Flight

Santa Clause had to renew his pilot's license and this was his "Check Flight":

Santa was going for a check-ride and the flight inspector climbed onto the sled with a shotgun.
Santa asks “Why the shotgun?”
Flight inspector answers “You’re gonna lose an engine on take off.”
