For a NMBH still under warr., I emailed Ruger about sending it back for warr. on the front sight not indexed at top dead center.

Ruger's email response was that they gave me a repair ord # and said I should send it in.

What do I need to do, or who to call and talk to, to get them to send me an R.A.# so Ruger picks up the shipping? Only seems fair, heck it is under warr.

Thanks for any help!!

They mostly go by the age of a revolver , a new revolver with a problem they should send a pick up box .

A defect in material or workman ship for older revolver it`s on your dime .

I`ve never owned a Ruger revolver with a warranty.
Don`t think there is 1 !

Send em another e-mail stateing how long you`ve owned this revolver & if it would be inappropriate to ask for a pick up box.

Welp, I spoke with a very nice man in the service center at Ruger in New Hampshire.
Explained my NMBH situation, he said Ruger would have it picked up and shipped to them for the fix at no charge to me.
Wow! That was cool. I did not have to ask for that.
It's all packaged up ready to go back.
Hopefully the holiday weekend won't get it lost in the shuffle, but at least it should be up there after the holiday is over.
The man said they would be quick about getting it back to me.

So far... So good!

I'll post how it goes, and thanks for the help.

Good deal !!!

Ruger is a company that supports it`s products !!!

I`m sure there`s instances that went the other way , but theres more that goes good than bad !

I`ll continue to buy Ruger !!!!!

Keep us informed Artie .

I got a postcard in the mail two days ago saying they received the Blackhawk and assigned a repair order # to it.
I'll post how it goes. I believe they will make it right.
I too will continue to buy Rugers. I love their single actions. From my New Model Single Six Conv. to my Super Blackhawk. Always an enjoyable day at the range blasting away!

The U P S guy just dropped off my NMBH back from Ruger's repair facility!!
YAY!!
Man that was not long at all, considering I sent it off just a day before the 7/4 holiday.
Looks like the barrel has been replaced, the front sight blade now is top dead center, as well as the rear sight is in the middle.
Report shows barrel repaired, and gun test fired.
Gun came back, clean and in top shape.
I put her Rosewood grips back on, and oiled her all back up due to it looked as if they dipped her 'cause the gun was clean, but dry as a bone. She is ready for the range, as soon as I can get a chance to get out there.
Whew! That went very well. I was a little nervous with some of the things posted about sending things back... to any repair facility, but I gotta say, I'm impressed.
Thanks Ruger!!
I'll post how she shoots, but I'm not expecting any problems.

**UPDATE**

Took the NMBH to the range to try her out after getting her back from Ruger for repair....

YAY!!! Shoots straight, sight straight, no problems.

I have a rear sight question for another Blackhawk I'll post separatley.

Summing the trip back to Ruger up, it was a POSITIVE experience. Ruger did a good job.

In today's world of pretty poor customer service that has run wild, that is a great story.

The eye-opener for me was the post card. That is unbelievable. Who does that today? Ruger did.
