Im looking into my next single action purchase .. I have a question about a new Ruger Vaquero 45acp 3.75 inch barrel birdshead grip ..

Is the newer production ones the new Mid Frame ?

And if so does anyone know the weight ? Its listed 39 oz same as the
Ruger 44 mag Vaquero 3.75 inch barrel with tbe birdshead grip ...

Is the new production Ruger Vaquero 44 mag 3.75 barreled Birdshead grip a mid frame or large frame ? On tbe pics it has New Vaquero stamped on it

44 mag is a large frame. I would think a medium frame with the bigger 45 cal holes would be a few oz less.

The 45 acp birdhead vaqueros are listed at 37 oz on the ruger website.

The model of acp I have is stainless New Vaquero which is midsize frame and weighs 36.9oz on cheap postal scales.

You actually have a New Vaquero and they are all mid frames except the New Vaquero in 44 Mag which is a large frame.

Is yours marked New Vaquero on the left side of the frame or just Vaquero?

Mine is fun as hell. :mrgreen:

Easy packing, easy shooting, pleasingly accurate, and mine shoots to point of aim for me.

I've got a dandy holster for this one and although I've professed other revolvers to be my favorite, this one is a favorite too. 8)

And for those that don't reload, this .45 ACP chambering is pretty economical to shoot.
