Hi guys. Need a little help on finding a holster. The gun has a 7.5" barrel and an ultra dot on it. Would prefer a hip holster but am open to suggestions. Would love some nice leather but will look at anything that works. Always hunt with my single actions and have never had this one afield but thats going to change here this fall. Thanks

You need to check out "Doc" Barranti's leather. He's a PA guy too. Top quality hide stretcher! He's also a member here.

As I said on another forum, 7x Leather makes a chest rig specifically for that application. His leather work is impeccable and his prices are reasonable.

Shop Ruger has all sorts of holsters that seem to get over looked. I have one of these and think is is a pretty decent holster.

I have this, and it works great. You will be able to sit in a chair or treestand with out the gun getting in the way, as it will when worn strong side. I highly recommend getting a good, sturdy belt to match, as that is the secret to supporting the weight of a heavy gun like that. I got a belt from Rusty, as well. Very happy with both. If you use binoculars when hunting, a chest rig for the gun will get in the way. I also have the UltraDot on my Super Redhawk.

CA...that is a neat and unique holster.

And, I'll bet it does work well for those, like me, that use binoculars.
