Ruger 22/4

if I'm correct, you should be able to using a low-profile Picatinny-to-Shield / J Point adapter mount., someone will either confirm or deny.

Does the red dot come with a picatinny adaptor plate? It looks to be an RMSc footprint, so there are probably aftermarket options for mounting.

"NOTE: The ReadyDot Optic mounts with a standard RMSc footprint." From RUGER website.
In order to mount on a pic rail, you'll need an adapter. IMHO, this only adds another interface variable/conflict/bulk that could be avoided by using a dot optic that mounts directly to the rail.

And in my experience, the higher the dot is over the bore, the longer it takes to find it.

Yes, it mounts. The Ready Dot comes with a standard Picatinny clamp, so it grabs onto those 90623 rails with no issues. It’s a solid, tight fit. I didn't have to shim it or mess with it.
