I do not go to Ruger’s website very often, or any other gun company’s website for that matter.

Too much temptation.

So I just saw the Ruger RXM. It looks a lot like a Glock 19, or something very similar.

Anyone has one of the RXM’s? How do they compare to the Security 9?

Has this topic already been talked about here? I couldn’t find any threads.

I'd be interested but not available in California (California with a "K" but forum will not allow this spelling). Not configured for Roster acceptance. It is basically a modern G19 clone with a lot of advancements. Can use Glock magazines and G19 slides, etc.

We have two G19s in the house and I would like to get an RXM as a G19 backup if nothing else.

Thanks!

My answer remains the same as it has in all the other RXM threads......nothing new or fantastic about it.....just another plastic fantastic. I'm a dedicated Ruger fan but I would take a Glock or even a PSA Dagger over the RXM. The hype died pretty fast since its been out for awhile now.

To be fair...I guess if Glock, Daggers and the other numerous Glock knockoffs didn't exist it would be somewhat exciting. Ruger and Magpul partnered to create what was already created and available.

I am not a huge fan of plastic pistols, but I'll be the first to say they have a place and they certainly have a following.
That said, I have owned many, and still do own some plastic pistols.
For the class of pistol it is, I have found the RXM to be my favorite. The different grip size and geometry accommodates my hands far better than any double stack Glock.

I have sold and transferred a number of these pistols. I won one at this year's Friends of NRA Banquet. Mine works flawlessly with Glock, Korean, and the Mag-Pul magazines. I shoot mine at least one time a month, I am still perfecting my operation of the trigger which I will say has a better feel than a tuned Glock out of the box. Grip angle is not as sharp at a Glock and closer to the 1911, mag well is flared. As far as "optics ready", a battery powered sight is not my cup of tea. Some folks who spend time dryfiring and learning where the dot is do well but with 77 YO eyes, I still function well with iron sights. Someone who has trouble with iron sights should spend time away from their dot sight and apply it to the irons. I do enjoy the 1.5-4.5 telescopic sight on my Service Rifle, astigmatism is tough to deal with when the peep sight isn't round anymore..

Ruger is one of a few man'f that finally fixed the faulty Glock grip angle. Now if they would release one with a manual safety it would be perfect 😜

Uh, Magpul did that. Agreed, a thumb safety should be at least an option.

but thinking the mag angle is still same or if not it's a fail in my book. But they did gat rid of the doggone hump at the bottom of the backstrap.
