I finally got to shoot my new RXM in a match Saturday, only 48 rounds, no issues except I am not experienced with the Ruger trigger. All deductions were caused by trigger manipulator error. Times not great, finished in the middle of the pack, fresh out of the box with no practice, "cold turkey". Only negative comment is the magazines need one or two more "loaded round witness holes". When I got back home I drilled a 1/8" hole in the right side in the round mold mark, that makes the 10 round visible.

Continue the saga of the RXM, the trigger could use some work, I shot it again in an ASI match. Comparing the RXM trigger to that of my XD the XD is smoother less grit and requires less pressure. The RXM trigger is still better than a GLOCK.

I was accustomed to glocks 19 and 26 so I didn't notice a difference with my RXM. I carried a 17 for half my 32 yr on Dallas PD.

Fondled one yesterday and it followed me home.
Sits in my hand better than the Glock and the shorter (feeling?) trigger reach should help.
Fits the G23 holsters perfectly, one of which is a one of a kind handmade custom.
Shooting static targets today to determine POA vs 115, 124, and 147gr bullets. Tomorrow dusting jacks.

"Patiently" waiting for the long slide and .40 versions...

Interesting smaller pistol, made by a good company and reasonably priced---I'm sure you'll keep us informed about accuracy testing... I think the pistol was designed as a smaller 9mm pistol, so I don't expect to see longer slides or 40 cal either...
Oh, and all my Colt SAAs have been in 44 Special...

My RXM is the best Glock-style pistol I have owned. Out of the box it shot to the sights with Fed 124 gr. American Eagle.
The trigger was originally HORRIBLE!!!! Using a snap cap, I dry- fired it about 1200 times and after 300 +/- rounds it's not bad. I also dismantled it and polished all the contact surfaces ( connector, trigger bar, FP safety, etc). Make sure you put a good lubricant on all the contact surfaces when reassembling. I measured the wire diameter of the striker spring and replaced it with 0.001" smaller diameter wire. All this together has given me a smoother, more manageable trigger. But, it needs an over travel stop.
The Mag-pul magazines got put away after three range sessions. About 50% of the time, the last round up would not feed and the slide stayed to the rear. If I slapped the bottom of the mag or the back of the slide it would feed and lock. A few Glock 19 Gen 5 mags solved the problem.
Suggested improvements from the factory: over-travel adjustment or stop, steel recoil spring guide rod, round-wire recoil spring, rear sight lock screw, dependable magazines.

Hey Ruger - how about one of these in .40 S&W - same size?

That's odd. I've never had a failure with a Magpull on my RXM or with Glocks at the range. I saw one video claiming Glock magazines should not be used on the RMX.

Any idea when they will come out with a model with a manual safety? Asking for a friend ;)

Hi OldWRXguy:
Different pistols, different mags. They work fine about half the time.

Can you tell me the video, you saw, that claims Glock magazines should not be used in the RXM? I would like to see it.

My RXM runs 100% reliable with them.

It was posted on you tube on Dec 21, 24 from 8skep1 productions. I found by googling magpul v glock magazines on rxm.

Took both RXMs to range today to put some rounds down range. I fired 140 rounds total using both Glock and pmags. Firing 115 fmj handloads. Not a failure in any mag to function and not an FTF. I shot at 15 yds at steel. No accuracy testing just function. I can't say the triggers are better or worse than Glock. But they work.
