Ruger replacement parts.

So today I went on Ruger's website and noticed Ruger sells few replacement parts anymore. Is this a thing their lawyers dreamed up ? Years ago when I still had some extra money to spend, every week I would order extra parts for all my different models. I looked up prices I paid about 10 years ago and the prices for what Ruger still sells. All those parts I was paying 50 cents for are now around $4.00 Wow, talk about sticker shock. The prices at GPC are expensive also. Another good thing I did was buy a bunch of new take off barrels for 22 autos from Volquartsen and some used single action barrels off of eBay. Back in the early 1960's one of our local hardware stores had very nice used M1 Carbines for $79.00 plus tax and the Army / Navy store had K98K Mausers for $17.00 plus tax. If I had only had the foresight then.

Yes, and all the .50 cents parts cost $3.50 in shipping !!!

Yessir I recall when gas was 19 cents a gallon and smokes were .21 cents a pack

Yes, many parts the factory would rather they install themselves for liability reasons, ah yes, the "lawyered" up Mark III's come to mind,,,,,,,,,,,duh :

Keep in mind are the parts for the discontinued guns going to be even made?? The Security Six models and the Red Labels come to mind????? :roll:

Remember,, Bill Ruger only lost 1 lawsuit. It was over the mis-use of an OM SA handgun. The judge ruled that since Bill had designed his New Model, he knew he had a defective design to begin with. That's why we have that stupid billboard,, as well as a free safety transfer bar upgrade.
