ruger P94 question

I have a chance to get a ruger P94 for $200. is it worth getting?I never had one of them but I have used a P89. is it the same?

The P94 has shorter barrel by about a 1/2", and a differently designed guide rod and spring. At that price, I'd grab it.

As I understand it the P94 is basically a P95 with a metal frame. I would love to have one in de-cock. I'm pretty sure the basic 9mm P mags will work.... you can find a zillion of them.
Sounds like a good deal.... 90% or more of the problems the pistol might have are easily correctable.

Get it! Pronto! I have a P94 in 9mm and I love it. I'm sure it will be just as great in .40S&W, and $200 is a really good price.

It has 10 rd mags so they should be easy to get .so far they are in stock on many websites.

So is it a P94 9 mm or a P944 .40 S&W? The 9 mm models use a 10 or 15 round mag, and the P944 uses a 10 or 11 round mag.

Great pistol, if it is below serial #341-19999 it is a swinging link recoil system like the P89, if it is 341-20000 or later it is a camblock guiderod system, they went to that in 2002, it is same system as P95. Either way they are solid reliable pistols.

I think the P94 were both made in 9mm and 40s&w the 944 is 40s&w only as well as the 91.

Did you pick it up? Is it the linked or cam-bloc version? Mine is the linked and I was able to pick up a .357 sig. barrel years ago at a Phoenix gun show. I need to get an adjustable sight to raise the group of the .357. It was made by EFK Firedragon. The barrel isn't listed any longer.

I got the P94 and it is the 1911 style link.the gun looks new I was shocked.he said it was his truck gun but not a scratch on it.it came with a uncle mikes holster.I think it was well worth $200.just got to find extra mags now.

All 9 mm and .40 S&W pistols are marked P94 on the slide, and they will be marked either 9 mm or .40 AUTO on the barrel, but none of them were marked p944. The case for the .40 will be labeled P944.
