Hello gentlemen!

I'm wondering if anyone can give me advise in regards to modifying my ruger 10/22. I currently purchased the 10/22 distributor exclusive green mountain laminate rifle. I'm look to switch the trigger, not the whole mechanisms just the trigger itself to green and perhaps the extended clip mag in green also. Eventually I will further modify it but need to save my pennies for my tikka T3. Any suggestion on where I can find these parts for a decent price?

All help is much appreciated.

I installed a Kidd trigger kit in my 10-22 and was very pleased with the results. Kidd offers several trigger mods including complete replacement. The kit is the cheapest ($105.00 on their website) and fulfilled my requirements. Here is a link to their website: http://www.coolguyguns.com/10-22-KIDD-TRIGGERS_c_7.html.

Good Luck.

If you gotta have the colors, Tactical innovations is where to head. Still be a bit nicer to make some other changes inside too. If it's a casual plinker, a simple hammer change will usually suffice but for something MUCH better, the Kidd trigger kit is hard to beat. Have tried a number of the trigger options - from simply changing a hammer to full assemblies. The Kidd kit has a nicer end result in feel than the full VQ assembly,

A couple more Inexpensive Upgrades, would be a Kidd Auto-Bolt-Release and a Kidd Bolt Buffer. Well worth the cost... easy to do... and a VERY NICE UPGRADE!!! Here are a couple of Links for you:

Eliminates the Dual Action of having to Lock/Unlock the Bolt, with the Factory Bolt Release. After the Install, with the Bolt in the Open-Locked Position, just pull back on the Charging Handle, and release. It's that easy!

No more "Metal-2-Metal" Bolt-N-Buffer Pin Slamming!

Cheers!

Contender: I read your post too. But I thought the thread about 10-22 modifications was in the longue.. I remember thinking why not in the rimfire section.

anyhow I don't have much experience with Volquartsen but I do have some Kidd upgrades. The Kidd products have been EXTREMELY accurate. Plus, not one misfire from them yet. And that is with Federal Bulk ammo. I am very happy with their stuff.
