Nice old shooter for sure.
Think they made them for 9 or 10 years. Yours likely from 1959.
No idea in value cause I've not followed them. There's several variations though.
Others will ask you about grooves and dimples and grip frame markings, etc.

That's early enough serial number it's probably a 6-groove rifling and not the later 8-groove. That has a lot of wear on it but will have some value still as a shooter for someone that wants a shooter. The 6-groove will hurt its value as there is a reason they changed to the 8-groove. As long as it's not been converted to the transfer bar, I would still expect to be able to get $1000 out of it. Values seem to have been down a bit the last couple of years on flat tops so that may be at the top of the spectrum.

As the first responder with a value I'll now wait to see if other agree or disagree.

IMHO, $1,000 at a MINIMUM.... depending on where you attempt your sale (i.e. not where the tacti-cool kids go to buy; perhaps on a Ruger Forum like this or The High Road etc etc). VERY NICE (and RARE) gun....hopefully it was not sent it to be neutered with the transfer-bar safety "upgrade" (p.s. trigger position seems to indicate it was NOT converted).... a GOOD THING.

My guess is,,, Not Converted.

Looking at the nice patina on the hammer,
Looks to match the rest of this gem.

I LIKE IT !!!

One thing to consider, back in the day people were parting out 357 Maxi barrels when they converted to big bores.

I don't think it's been rebarreled, has the correct Ruger company ID.

AND AGAIN the patina matches the overall appearance of the gun.

I really don't need or particularly want it. But if offered at $1,000 ,,,

I WILL TAKE IT! ,,, as is….😎 It’s just cool

Just for reference . . .

Original 10" guns with 6-groove barrels list at $1900, and those with 8-groove barrels list at $2300 on the RENE Price Guide.

This is for "pristine" guns. Only shown to compare the theoretical price difference between the two barrels. :)

Would Ruger rebarrel a gun back then? Then it would have a period correct barrel.

If it is a Ruger rebarrel, would it show up in a letter and is the value still effected?

Love the gun for what it is, but I can't imagine doing much walking with it in that rig. It would be dragging on the ground!

Yes Ruger letters have stated when a gun was returned. Now, doubt they'd disclose that if it just came back for service though. I have seen letters on "S" guns stating when shipped, when returned, when shipped again to a second wholesaler, etc.
