I saw a Ruger 50th anniversary baseball bat and I am wondering if these are collectable. Anyone know a ballpark(sorry!) price?

I don't think the question is way out in left field... actually it should be a grounder to answer for those that collect them.
sorry... :)

I haven't noticed any for sale lately, hopefully someone in the know will pop up and tell us..

600 were produced for Williams shooting supplies. Would be nice to know if it has a red or black handle. Have not seen one for sale for some time now. I would say about 50.00.

The handle was plain wood, the top two thirds was black with a 50th anniversary emblem and a gold WBR signature.

Last few i've seen were 2x the $50 mark. Forget exactly what i paid for mine.

Most decent wood bats to use are at least $100 or more. I would think they would be at least that.

How many of these do you see

The one I saw looked like that except the handle was plain wood, not red.

The plain wood ones are the most common. 600 produced. My idea on the red handle is that they shipped one per case. I know a guy who collects the Texco banks and airplanes. There was an example of a red more common plane but when they shipped them 25 per case they added a yellow plane in the mix. Same plane just yelow. The box was even different color "yellow". This is my guess on the bats. Possibly 25 to 50 per case with one red handle bat.. Just my thought. Yea Terry sometimes I amaze myself  I have so much of this stuff it gets overwhelming. I have been trying to photo the stuff and box it away...
