Ruger 77 follower - increasing capacity by one

I have a Ruger 77 in which the follower bottoms out slightly short of allowing five in the magazine box. It seems that a slight shaving of the (rear) legs of the follower would allow five down in the box. Has anyone done this? Might I be overlooking causing a problem by doing so? Thanks.

You could try it and see. I would look for possible feeding problems, as well as difficulty closing the bolt on a full magazine.

I think you may damage spring. Or cause feeding problems.
