Ruger #1 458 win mag front sling band removal

I need to rechamber a Ruger #1 from 458 winchester to 458 Lott, I need to remove the front sight band and front sling band from the barrel to get it into my lathe. Any suggestions from those who have done this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, thats why it requires high heat.
