Hey all,

I'd like to pick up a nice rug for a 4" GP100 for travels and such. I've got a couple that will work, but have excess space and wind up being bulky and I'd like to get one that fits well. Anyone have good experiences with one.

Thanks!!!

I have one of these for a 6" Colt.

Why not the one's Ruger offers?
I like having the Ruger logo, but the last one I got I wasn't thrilled with, loose threads, zipper not working well. Thought I might try something different, I've got an old Boyt for my 1911 that I got over 20 years ago that's been great. Didn't know what else was out there.

Thanks!

American made and a great price. I use their pistol case designed for the .45 auto for my 4" GP.

Ace case works fine for me. I have four of them. The 7x14.5" cases are supposed to accommodate 6.5" guns, but somehow my Super Redhawk fits there.

Local pawn shop here generally has several under $5.00 each. If you've got a pawn shop in your area or even a local mom-and-pop store they're many times a great resource for the older gun rugs of better quality than available in the retail stores.

I agree, I have several Ace cases, maybe not the absolute best case out there but for the price there are the best buy I have found. My only request would be heavier weight lining like a corduroy.

Still though you'll never wear one out as they are.

I bought a few of these, Bulldog, and put the Ruger emblem on them. Thy hold two small of one very large handgun.

I have one by Allen. Not really compact...it fits the GP just fine, and it held... snugly... the revolver in a holster during a break-in period.
