Have any of you used the rifle rod storage products to increase your rifle capacity in a safe? I have a BF6030 and would like to keep my rifles on just one side, but the stock setup is limiting, even when you are dealing with mostly light and narrow winchester 22's from half a century ago or more. The stock setup allows easy removal of even those in the back, but lets face it, some of these only come out once a year at the most. They get cleaned more than shot at this point in life. I have 16 rifles in total, with the two larger M1 and 1903A3 going on the door, leaving 14 to fit on the one side.

The rifle rods look like a great option, but before dropping the $'s I'd like any first hand experience.

Thanks

I use the rifle rods in my safe. They increased my safe capacity, although it is now time for a bigger one.

The system isn't perfect and has trouble if you have real short gun and real long guns in the same safe, but did free up LOTS of room for me.

I built a two level riser along the one side of my safe to acomidate my shorter rifles. Air stapler, some scrap pieces of plywood and carpet and the short rifles now work well with the system.

Thanks guys for the info. I may try making some frome 1/8 plastic dipped rod welded to some washers and industrial velcro. Probably won't save much $ if you value your time but might be a fun project.

Thanks
