Yes it is no longer a rumor. The Man of Steal has passed. I really enjoyed the short time he spent with the Red Sox.

They're making a come back with the new rules that started in 2024. But in reality the success rate has gone up but not the attempt rate. With emphasis on the home run and the new rules banning defensive shifts, there's really no point in putting a base runner at risk of getting out despite a high 81% success rate this season.
