10/22 International model has a Ruger Medallion covering screw for the pistol Grip Cap.
Is there an easy way to remove the medallion without damage or does one replace the
medallion whenever the cap is removed for replacement? Thanks in advance.

It will need to be replaced. Drill a small hole through the medallion. Then pop it out with a flat blade screw driver. Underneath you will find a screw that will remove the grip cap. Replacing the medallion can be a pain sometimes depends on the grip cap. You only get one shot to get it lined up never been able to rotate one once in the cap.

Couple tricks I have used to get the medallion in are freezing it and getting it to shrink down, light grease around the edge before inserting, or if you get a real stubborn one lightly sand or file a bevel along the bottom edge. Ruger should have the medallions order at least three for the first attempt of installing one. After doing it once you should only need two to get things right in the future.
