considering trade of RH 357 to SRH 454 what is the value difference?

454 Casull Super Redhawks are available for around $700 on the used market.
.357 Redhawks are no longer made and scarcer than hen's teeth on the used market.
I wouldn't trade. Not an even trade, for sure.

dont trade you will regret it. I sold my security six a few years a go and have hatted my self ever since and the Redhawk 357 's are even harder to find.
From a purely value standpoint, both are around $700 guns, depending on condition.
A gun is only as valuable to you as you deem it to be. If you want something more then go get it, however realize that once it is gone, if you ever want one again, you will have an uphill battle finding one.

Ruger still makes .454 Redhawks and they are common on the used market.
If you really don't want the .357 Redhawk, I'm sure a member here will give you a fair price for it. You can probably clear enough to pay for a used or even new .454 SRH and have a few bucks left over.
It took me over a year to locate a .357 Redhawk on Gunbroker and I haven't seen another one since. I love mine, but it's purely a range gun for me. I just wanted one for the cool factor.
Then again, Ruger stopped making .357 RH's for a reason, they didn't sell very well and most of them are in the hands of collectors or .357 enthusiasts who make wicked handloads. The guns have value to these buyers, and are getting to be more collectible as the numbers of them on the used market gets fewer and fewer.

Redhawk 357mags' are the bee's knees to a lot of folks out there, SRH's are everywhere to be found.
If you think a trade is in order look up the rules and see what you can shake out of the bushes here in the 'Classified Section'...
