I've had in the past a Super Redhawk and am wondering is the Redhawk as "indistructable" as the super. Looking at making a deal on one and am curious if it will take the hotter hunting loads. Thanks!

The gun will take it, but your hand may not. The Super has a much better handle, IMO.

A Redhawk will handle whatever a Super can.

J/S.. I am a Shooter, Hunter & a Collector owning a few guns over the years But, I presently do not own a Redhawk because they are an easy sell/trade, & I have never sold a Super Redhawk because I really like them not to mention they have saved my Son's life once. I will purchase most all Super Redhawks I find @ a reasonable price @ gunshows.

I sold my SRH as it was just about useless unless you plan on hunting with it instead of a rifle. It just doesn't qualify as a pack'n pistol/range gun/.etc. It is 'special purpose' only... My dad has a RH and it is much handier... Not quite as handy as the BHs or SBHs, but doable. As for as durability both are 'tanks' and would hold up very well.... Just the extra bulk really isn't needed in my opinion for shooting .44s and .45s.
