Local shop has a spotless, tight, gorgeous 44mag 4" Redhawk. Wondering what fair price might be? Not gunbroker inflated prices. The shop usually runs high, but they have $650 on it, which I would have assumed was decent price other than knowing their track record for over-charging.

That's a "fair" price when taken into account the recent events that made many Redhawks jump in pricing. However, Ruger is making them again, (Like those of us who knew they would,) so maybe an offer of $600 might sway them a bit,, if you have cash ready to go!

Don't forget that the older 4" Redhawks have the pinned front sight, the new 4" have the easily replaceable front sight like the 5.5" and 7.5" Redhawks. Might not make a difference to you but I prefer the new sights.

The picture shows the older pinned front sight, probably an old stock picture. When I bought mine it showed the pinned sight but I called to verify it had the newer sight. That is a good price with free shipping.

I have a mint 44 mag Redhawk with a 7.5" barrel, 'target grey'. I usually use my 4.2" 45 Colt Redhawk, but think about having the barrel on that 44 chopped back a bit. I think I would use it more with a 4.5-5" barrel.
