Whats a NM SS Ruger Vaquero 40 S&W/38-40 combo worth?

I have one too, the 5 1/2 inch model. So I'm very curious about the value as well. Not going to sell, just curious.

I'm a fan of the advanced search on Gunbroker and completed auctions for price checks. I look for one that actually sold versus the listings that ended without selling. There was only one for this model. 30 bids so the bidding was intense. I'd prefer to see others as one sale doesn't necessarily equate value.

Yeah, completed auctions on GunBroker is the way to go.
I was interested in a gun locally but he wanted $800.
He told me he had seen them bring $950.
I showed him the completed GunBroker items and yes, one had brought $950. But 3 sold for $300 and the average of the 13 sold was $550.
Months later he called and I got it for $550.

One has to remember over the years when folks see something go "on line" for top dollar, and being the first one to sell, they tend to come out of the wood work and the following sellers "hoe" for this good "pay day" but the newness wears off and they do NOT sell for anywhere near that first price or maybe that high "price" was two drunks, both bidding on the same thing, whatever and as noted above , the next ones usually sell for far less, ( flood the market??) have seen this all too often over time,,,, Good luck
