Redhawk, or Super Redhawk, grips

I've really been impressed with the wood-insert grips on my GP-100.
Was wondering if they were installed on Redhawks, and if they worked
well.
I'm finally going to get a Redhawk or Super Redhawk, and want to
use the best grips for small aging and damaged hands.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Check midwayusa. They will give a what fits what. I have seen those grips there.

Those style grips will fit the Super Redhawk, but not the Redhawk. The GP and the Super have a post grip frame and the Redhawk has the traditional back strap type frame. If you like the grips on the GP, you probably will want to go with the Super.

The stock Super Redhawk grips work great. Unless there is a fit issue (meaning your hands do not fit will with the size of the grip), they will be very comfortable to shoot. I've shot hot handloads (240g XTP over 24g H110) that have more kick than factory ammo through my Super. Recoil was very tolerable.

My SRH 9.5" .44 changes grips pretty often, I can't decide what I like the best.

The Hogue Cocobolo grips let the gun "roll" in my hand, rather than sticking to it, plus the gun is so heavy with the 7x Burris optic that it feels more like a hot .357 anyway.

I am still thinking whether or not the "scope level" I put on is really necessary, it doesn't even seem like it works anyway :)

Thanks, folks. I've shot a couple of 44's before, and found the recoil to be stout, but not painful. I'm really tempted by the blue Redhawk.
Also, I'm assuming the 7-1/2" barrel to be the best size for balance and
accuracy.
I'm getting ready to jump on a used blue Redhawk. That ought to pretty well round out my Ruger assemblage.
I will check out Midwayusa.
