Redhawk Front Sight

The factory front sight on my Redhawk just bothered me. I didn't like that it didn't go to the end of the barrel. I looked online for a replacement that would but didn't find any. So, I made one myself out of bar steel. i think it came out pretty good. It now looks like what I always thought it should look like.

I Like it to the end of the barrel !!!!

& a bit taller than factory for the heavy for caliber boolits .

I have my rear site jacked all the way down tite & still my groups (or patterns) mass a bit hi !

I found that in lieu of making the front sight higher, some careful file work could make the blade and notch of the rear sight lower. I did this recently on my SBH (same rear sight as the RH) and the gun now shoots point of aim with 320gr bullets.

I used the sight adjustment calculator from the Weigand Combat site and lowered my rear blade the same amount as it told me to raise the front.
The added benefit is that if you booger it up, it is only a $7.00 part.
