then came his little brother, the .45 Colt

and last week the big boy Super joined the ranks

I admit, it was a bit showy.
The .44 Redhawk I bought NIB. At first there was a bit of a catch in the trigger movement, but it smoothed out a lot after a couple of shooting sessions and some dry firing.
The .45 Redhawk came courtesy of ShortBBL (thanks again!), who dressed it nicely in the wood grips. The grips are darker in color and slightly larger than the factory grips on the .44.
The Super was born in 2001, according to the serial#, but it appears to me it had hardly been fired. Shelf gun? It looks much better now after I spent an hour cleaning and polishing it. I didn't take it apart yet to get to the trigger group. The action seems flawless in dry firing. Now I need to range test it.

Rugeritis struck me real bad this winter. Having bought six guns since New Year I have to go cold turkey now.

I think I need to get into handloading. It'll keep me busy and away from GunBroker.com. I hope.

Very nice looking family.

I started mine with 5.5" Redhawk .45 Colt, then bought a NIB SRH stainless 7.5" .454 and now have a stainless 5.5" .357 on the way!

Nice pictures! Nice Rugers! Thanks for sharing. I do not have any DA Rugers but know they are about the most rugged and reliable DA revolvers out there...and if you run out of ammo...they make great clubs!
