Is the RH too heavy to for the light recoiling 45 ACP? The SW 45 ACP tend to be lighter but have a hole and are not available.

I don't consider it so. The weight helps mitigate the recoil even more. Years ago I had an S & W Mountain Gun in 45ACP. I felt the weight of it more in the hands, behind the trigger...if that makes sense. My 4" Redhawk feels slightly more muzzle biased as to how it feels in my hand. This, for me, makes it easier to track the muzzle when swinging from one target to another. With the Mt Gun I had a little more difficulty on the transition to a second target.

The 45 ACP in the Colt/ACP variant of the Redhawk would make a wonderful range gun. Target loads for the ACP don't cost me any more than most 22LR (other than the time to assemle). Trigger time on a hunting iron is a valuable thing. On top of that, you have the ability to run 45 Super and Rowland level loads out of the same gun. Not to mention the heavy Colt loads the Redhawk is known to handle.

Heavier weight doesn't bother me either.

I've said this before in classes where a guy larger than I am crabbed about a gun being too heavy...

"Picture a five foot something female LEO with a heavy belt, gun, spare mags, vest, flashlight of some sort, radio, bodycam, cuffs (maybe two), phone, taser, and
perhaps even heavy duty shoes on the job for 8+ hours a day, and I'm gonna crab about picking a gun a few ounces lighter over another? Not me"!

I understand completely about the two different
styles and weights. But S&W Mountain Guns
are so cool!

My S&W 625-6 M.G. 45Colt is one of my favorites
and that 4" barrel is a hoot to shoot.

About 30 years ago, I had Art Leckie (Austin Behlert's son-in-law) modify a 45 Colt Redhawk to accept 45acp in full moon clips. We used the same high quality moon clips that S&W uses for the 625.

Ruger's recent version does not. It only accepts Ruger's proprietary moon clip, which is thinner.

I have the older model 5032 in 45acp/45Cplt that shoots excellent, has anyone here tried the new model 5050 with the 2 piece barrel? If so how does it shoot

I have the 5050. I sent it to Hamilton Bowen for action work, longer firing pin, his front and rear sights and black powder chamfer on the cylinder. It shoots my .45 Colt handloads accurately and factory .45 acp good enough for plinking. I have a post about it from a few years back.
Search Bowen Redhawk.

So define light recoiling 45 acp....in a RH, yeah it would be a joy in a RH.....in a 1911 pistol? That's where I have a question. The 1911 gave me no recoil issues, at all. But as a instructor when it was still issued it gave many issues. Recoil was more in the mind when qualing on the 45 1911, but some couldn't get past it and couldn't pass the 15yd watchstander qual. Stayed late with remedials many a night during Desert Shield. Crazy I know. Took boxes and boxes to get them to qual so I could secure. M39 9mm Aircrew quals didn't fair much better than those with 1911 45acp "light recoiling"

I'm lost on the question ....could be bourbon...but the SW SW 625 of the day were fun bt dont recall a RH in 45 then. Light recoiling? The 625 was fun, a RH would be slightly heavier but same. Hole? later Hillary hole?

Did you qual in any cpacity on the 45? 1911

The Redhawk is my favorite double action revolver, and I have a few. I would not have a rimless cartridge like the 45 ACP in any revolver. Purely a psychological reason. They were designed for semi-automatics, and to use them in the Redhawk requires the use of the additional "full moon" clips.
