Which rail is best for installing red dot sight on GP100? What would be a low price for a red dot sight such as Burris or Sightmark?thanks

Welcome to the Forum!
I'd suggest you look at Weigand mounts. And I'd look at UltraDot for their dots. They are priced similar to Burris & I've found them to be quite good. Expect to pay $200-$250 or so for a quality red dot.

X2 on what contender posted.
the weigand is great for a GP,installed one on my wife's topped with a 30 mm ultradot reddot. she has sent many full tilt rounds down the pipe with zero shift. if this will be a hunting revolver I am partial to the 30 mm tube dot with some scope covers for snowy/drizzle weather hunting. if your going to be shooting targets then you could go with the compact open dot sight. amazon has ultradots for 160$-170$.

You may want to consider a reflex sight vs. a tube sight on a rail -- much more compact and lower profile to the bore. I have switched over to the small reflex red and green dot sights on all my handguns vs. the tube type sights. There are many available over a wide price range. Here is a Burris on my Redhawk:
