Question -Mark .22 slides

I bought a Mark I target. The slide does not stay open when magazine is empty? Has that changed on newer models?

Truth of the matter is.... there is NO slide!!! So there is no slide to stay open. No kidding!! 8)

However, there is a "bolt".
