Interesting. So they DO read the forums. Do you know if SR&Co and others have people whose job it is to monitor the online communities?

If this thread belongs elsewhere please move it, lock it, etc. but the semi-auto guys would be interested since it was on here.

thanks!

Oh, gosh, we've known that SR&Co. "browses" the world of guns on the internet for quite a few years..........

Shucks, they may get a "scoop" on their competitors! :D

This is not the first time I've been contacted........ I wish it was the last, though...

PS One section on Graybeard's forum is SPONSORED by Freedom Arms! :D

I'm suprized that S,R&Co. doesn't Sponsor rugerforum, but then again it might not be a good Idea....................................................

I really don't know what upset them about my post on the 1911. If they were so concerned why would they let Shooting Times magazine put a picture of it on their June cover before it was officially announced. Sorry if I caused you any grief Flatgate that was not my intention. I was just commenting on what I saw in a major national magazine.

So that makes twice in just a couple of days. It sounds like S. R. & Co needs to be more careful about what information they make available to the public if they want things kept secret. If you tell people things, put them out where folks can see them, people are going to talk.

Seems kinda one-sided not participating in a forum and then requesting information be taken down.

It would be nice to see someone from Ruger around here. They can do what other corporate representatives on various forums do, pick and choose what they answer.

Almost no way of stopping this kind of "chatter" when factory insiders at gun shows and gun shops seem willing to "talk" about things at their factory. Hard to tell if they are "plants" or having an ax to grind!.................Dick

Wow, I'm a dumb ole' plumber from PA. Clingin' to my guns, religion and my ..................well, my guns. What the hell am I missin' here?

Look at the announcement sticky at the top of the semiauto forum. Someone had loose lips and Ruger didn't like it.

What part of NW Pa?
