I just finished setting up the C-More on an Allchin Mount so I took it to the range today to test fire and to sight it in. WOW, nothing but jams. I'll clean it real well tonight and take it back to the range Friday for testing.

I tried 6 different magazines but had failure to extract and double feeds through the practice session.

To make sure it wasn't the magazines I tried them in my Black Mamba and everything worked 100%.

Just a thought, make sure your mount screws don't stick inside the receiver and interfere with the bolt or recoil spring.

Yep, that's the next thing I want to check.

Thanks

I concur that something happened when the mount was installed. By "double feed" do you mean the fired case remained in the chamber while an unfired round was fed behind it? That sounds like an extraction issue rather than a magazine issue. Possibly something preventing bolt from closing that last little smidgeon.

Yes, the fired case stayed in while the next round was feeding. I've checked the extractor, it's a new Volquartsen on a VQ bolt. I'm thinking the spring may be too weak for the loads I'm using (Blazers) after many thousands of rounds.

I gave it a good cleaning in my ultrasonic cleaner and will test again on Friday.

This picture does not show the new Carolina Crusher Compensator. It still has the Tandemkross Game Changer Pro.

Well, it turned out to be two fold.

One of the bolts that I used to mount the new Allchin Scope Mount was too long. I took it apart and ground it down to be flush with the inside. This took care of some of the problem but not the whole thing. The extractor was bad. I know this because I took the bolt out of my Black Mamba and tried it. No more jams.

So, tomorrow I will replace the extractor with a new Voquartsen one. Fortunately I always keep a spare or two on my bench. Just a 5 minute job.

I also got a new Carolina Crusher compensator. It's huge, I can see how easy it will be able to maintain. I use a 50 % mix of Hydrogen Peroxide and Vinegar to soften the lead and then use a brass punch to get out the stubborn lead.

Volquartsen Accurizing Kit and a Tandemkross Victory Trigger. It's set at 1.5 pounds.
