Local pawn shop has had a stainless Security Six with a six inch barrel for sale. It's not perfect but, not bad. Doesn't have original grip, box or papers. Price is $500.

It's been sitting in the case for about five months now.

Is it just me or is this high?

If it were $375 or so it would be here with me.

Security Six/Speed Six/Service Six guns were a relative bargain a couple years ago.... then, folks realized what a great wheelgun they were, and the prices rapidly climbed to almost Colt/S&W levels.

But $500 ??? Ask the guy if he's kidding.... and if he's not kidding, walk away. He's at least $100 too high.

I recently bought a 4" in my local shop that is like new for $299.00. I think they underpriced this one a bit but I am thinking $400.00 tops for a really nice one outside of the box and papers.

Gus prices are so hard to judge anymore. I walked away from a very nice 4" stainless Sec. Six at a recent gun show, I felt it was overpriced at $400.

Today, at a gun show here, was a 2 1/2" blue, a 4" blue, and a 6" stainless. All Security Sixes and none priced over $400. I came very close to bringing the 4" blue one home with me but I had already bought a MK II Government and another Glock 21.
