I posted a prayer request,, for our own sixshot,, Dick Thompson. Well, he has posted this elsewhere.

"After being gone since August 17th I'm finally home! 12 days in Salt Lake City, 8 of them in ICU & then 5 here in our local hospital one block from my house I finally got to come home yesterday, seems like 6 months.
No way to explain open heart surgery unless you have been there but first I need to thank everyone for the thoughts, well wishes & prayers, it's very much appreciated. It is a very intense surgery with a long recovery time & you basically have to do things without using your hands or arms for several months."


Looks like prayers worked! Thanks all!

Been there and done that. It sounds like it was more intense than my surgery. Recovery took a while but it seemed to me that there was a little progress every day. Hang in there. When able, physical therapy was a big help for me.

You just don't know how hard it is to not use your arms to get out of a chair or bed.
Then when you can use them again you find how little strength they have.
