I posted a pic of this a while back on here and a sharp eyed member told me it was a Postal Inspector Speed Six. I just thought it was a regular Six, as there are no marking on it anywhere, other than the usual. Main difference is a true 3 inch barrel, regular Speed Six barrel length was 2.75, and the barrel is a little different too. He described it as more "Redhawk"- like. Anyway, I wrote Ruger and got a factory letter on it, and they where kind enough to also send a owners manual as well. It is shown with wood Houge grips on it, but the Pachmeyers with Ruger emblem beside the gun are what they originally had on them. Yeah, I sometimes carry it. I like to shoot em, not just look at em!

SEEMS TO MY SOMEWHAT VAGUE MIND, THAT THERE WERE A GROUP OF THESE GUNS TO BE SOLD FOR RUGER BY HANSEN AND HANSEN. THEY WERE OFFED IN ADS IN THE "OLD" BIG SIZE GUN LIST 20+(AT LEAST) YEARS AGO. DUNO WHAT MAY HAVE OCCURRED, BUT IT WAS "DUMPED BACK ON US" ACCORDING TO AN INFORMAL COMMENT TO ME BY A RUGER EMPLOYEE I KNEW AT THE TIME BECAUSE OF MY INVOLVEMENT WITH THE BUSINESS AT THAT TIME. I AM UNSURE IF THE USPO EVER ORIGINALLY GOT ANY OF THESE GUNS..........

I have a New in box one that I bought from the Gun List ad,I will dig it out and take some pictures to post. I also save that ad.They did offer used ones also!
