Ported SR1911 10MM

I bought a SR1911 10MM at the local gun shop. The pistol is ported. Was this offered by Ruger or was it added after by the previous owner?

Pics or it didn't happen. I see nothing on the Ruger site showing a ported 1911 in any caliber.

You guessed wrong Pictures as requested. You can see the port just aft of the front sight. It does help with recoil. A friend has a Colt Delta 10MM and I have shot it, this Ported Ruger does not recoil as much.
