I got a message today from postimage.org

Seems their domain registry has unexpectedly changed. So, any pictures I have posted on rugerforum and elsewhere are now poof'd.

At least temporarily, our photos are still accessible, but to share them now requires me to re-share them with their new code.
Far above my pay grade, but when you see any or all of our photos gone on this board, that's the short reason.

This is a screen shot using their new code...

Me too, dern free web sites, you'd think they could do better. But at least they have not asked/demanded $400 to get me up and running.... yet.

Just a matter of time.. They always pull the same thing.. They get you hooked in for free, and then, after they have all your photo's, they know they have you hostage.. That's when they hit you.. It's coming eventually..

Well I just deleted my photos from the site. Too bad we can’t just upload from our computers to Rugerforum. I am not going to join another site....

Yeah, I belong to another site that looks a lot like this forum, but different content.. And you can do it there.. Nice.. No hassles.. makes it so much easier..

Well here's the thing... I'm pretty sure my avatar is linked to the post image site.... and it is still showing up.... so what give?...

I went and found my images... no problem.. so I'll try posting one from the East Coast Ruger meeting...

Yep, the images can be posted with the newly embedded code, but previously posted pictures are no longer posted. Postimage says they are working on a solution. If they don't find a solution, they will continue to use the new code. So if we want our photos re-posted, the inclusion of the new code is automatic. Seems simple enough, but if they do find a solution and go back to the original code, then the photos posted with the new code will be gone.

I think I'll sit back and wait.

Just in the last week or so, I have had about three or four posts with pictures stay a day or two, then I went back and the posts were there with no pictures on them! In all cases had taken the pictures off my old photobucket account and put them on postimage. Who`s behind this ? Photobucket or postimage or both??

Actually Blume, your avatar disappeared today.. That's how I found out.. my avatar went **poof**.. I re-uploaded it with their new code, and it's back now..

So it's only a matter of time before everyone gets hit with the code issue..

Just upload your avatar again to the site, and use the "direct link" which is the second option from the top, and you should be good to go.. Just copy and paste the link in your settings here on the board.. That's all I did.. Took less than a minute..
