Panning for gold-update

Well, finally got out to try my hand at panning for gold in a local stream, took my son with me, he always wanted to try it. We spent an hour or so giving it a go, and we actually found some color, a few flakes here and there, maybe a couple dollars worth, but for our first time out it was definitely a success. I know my son wants to do it again, so one day next weekend we will be back at our undisclosed location to see what else we can come up with.

I would love to try that but that’s my luck for ya! I live in Kentucky where there supposedly is no gold except for Ft. Knox of course.

Have fun we did it in a Alaska and had a great time. Got about $50 worth in a couple of hours. Then you spend $100 so the wifie can have something made from it. :wink:
