It's a LOW performance 1974 probably barely 200 HP Dad had a 73 440 ......What a DOG!!!... I wouldn't pay 50K for it Some crazy museum might as they can right it off
1974 was not a good year for Chrysler Corp.
The '73 Charger SE in green metalflake with a white Landau roof was probably the coolest looking car ever made. Single rear wheel drive would skid on spit and had no power, but chick magnet it was. I still have a '66 Dodge Polara with a 383 in a a lighter car that MOVES. The car ain't pretty, but well made. While It still hauls, I have gone to the dark side. I have an old GMC Sierra 2500 ( Still, that Charger- with it's weaknesses- I would drive again.

Only had two connections to Dodge. First was the 48' that we had when I was real little. That got supplemented with a 57' BelAir. The other dodge was a 72' Dodge Dart Swinger my mom had. White with a green vinyl top and interior. 318 with a three speed Torque flight tranny. Pretty peppy for a mom car. Her first brand new car. AM/FM radio, A/C, all the bells and whistles.
Old cars, whether desirable or not, are pretty cool after that many years and in that condition. I don't particularly care for Worman either but you can't deny his knowledge and enthusiasm. Very cool car, and I'm a Ford guy.

When my son was in high school one of his buddies was bragging about the huge 318 engine he had in his old mopar. I looked at him and said that 318 was what our grandmothers drove back then. 
It's interesting to me how two folks can see the same thing so differently?!??
I have always thought the 73 Chargers to be the ugliest cars made
To each his own.
I'm a Ford guy and love a 69 or 70 Mach 1, but I must admit a 69 Charger or 70 Cuda
make me drool........

I do the same every month or so when something reminds me of the black 64 Coronet I let go in the ‘70s. It was a red bench seat interior, push button torqueflite 426 stage II BADASS.

Well yes but 72 was the year they were all de-rated and became gutless. I believe 71 was the last hurrah for power.
I'd twist the dial back to include '66 and '67.

Horsepower-wise, you might be right. But, the best body styles were in the late 60's and early 70's, IMO
When it comes to 1973 Dodge Chargers I owned the Unicorn. Charger Rally Top Banana Yellow with Black accents along the sides and bubble hood. No power steering, no a/c, and nothing that would draw undue HP from the 440 Six Pack. Sold it to another sailor that was getting out as he was heading home to Bainbridge GA.At that time the insurance company was about to change my rate to $ 2000. xx a year. Untenable. But 73 wasn't a good year for MOPAR Muscle.
There was no six pack in 1973. Technically they ended in 1971 but about a half dozen escaped in the early 1972 models. Only 1 is known to exist now IIRC. The 440 in 1973 was a slug

Thus the Unicorn, it was the only 440 six pack of 1973, ( 1 of 1) and it was sold through Grand Spalding Dodge of Mr Norms fame. Yes compared to the earlier models it was a DOG, Not a DAWG.
So, dealer add-on? Dealers USED to do lots of things to make happy customers. Sadly, no more.
Since it came through, Mr. Norm‘s, it probably was not a six pack from the factory. Mr. Norm’s was well known for upgrading his cars to the higher performance levels.

Speaking of regret never leaving, In 1969 the local Dodge dealer had a new Charger 500 with the 426 Hemi that I bought off the showroom floor. That was the limited model Mopar put out prior to the Daytona and Superbird for Nascar certification. It had drum brakes, a flush rear window and flat grille with exposed head lights, different from the standard 69 Chargers. Was my daily driver all through College, basically a trouble free stop light king and then I sold it. Had several other cars that would be worth some money now but that Charger is the one I should have kept.
show me the documents Mr Norm cars are not factory What was the engine code on it. Heck he could have put a hemi in a 73.......doesn't make it a "unicorn" more a frankenstein
