A local businessman died, and his brother sought out a preacher to conduct the funderal. "Preacher, I know my brother had a reputation as a scoundrel and was not well liked in the community. But I'll pay you a thousand dollars to say he was a saint."

Well, now the parson wansn't one to pass up such a deal, and accepted the offer. At the funeral, the usual obituary was read, then the preacher stood and began the eulogy.

"Our departed brother here is well known in the community, and most of you know him well. He never set foot in any church, and never supported any youth programs. And I believe a few of you men met his fists once or twice when he was drinking. Nobody here would want to follow in his footprints. He'd kick a dog or a kid, but compared to his brother, he was a SAINT!"
