Pachmayr Compacs GP100

Hey all! 1st post!!

Well I got a set of Pachmayr Compac grips for my GP100 in today. But, they really don't fit too good:

It is a shame. I think my grip frame is too wide or something. I used some calipers and when the grips are squeezed together lightly the gap is smaller than the thickness of my grip frame. So even when the screw is tightened down all the way the grips won't close up right. I am upset because I think they look great and feel amazing. I plan to get a 4" GP100 and was planning on using these on that gun, but now I have doubts.

Any recommendations on how to fix this? My GP100 is a 2012 model. Not sure if the grip frame is the wrong type for these grips?

I would fix it by showing the gap photo to whoever you bought them from and asking for grips that fit or a refund.

I believe they are out of production. I have a set with the same issue. I had them on my adjustable sight 3" for a while. Great concealed carry grip, but the gap in the front seam is pretty hard to put up with.

I bet you could glue and clamp them with 'Gorilla Glue' or 'Super Glue' and eliminate the possibility of ever getting them off the gun again but hey there would be no gap.

Seriously, do they fit together off the gun? Then maybe you could take a 'Dremel' and remove some plastic on the inside to get a smooth fit.

The last set of Pachmayrs I tried some time back had the same problem, not what they used to be.
No longer in the running for me.

Get some black automotive molding tape and use it to fill in the gaps. Get the rubbery kind which is like putty, it matches the grip material pretty good and stays put while still being removable if needed. I've been using it on my Pachmayrs for years.

I like the style of these grips but usually have issues with a gap.

I just purchased this same grip and having the problem as described , wondering if anyone ever found a resolve to this issue.

I have the same grips with the same issue. They are just hidden in the box of shame, waiting for me to throw them out some day.
