P95PR15?

I saw a really good price on a Ruger P95PR15, $339 including transfer, tax and background check. The price is so good that I have to ask if these are dependable shooters, something that I could safely use for a carry gun?

While shopping for SD/HD/CC firearms solely by price point can leave you owning a turd, price is important.

Yes, the P-95 is an accurate and reliable pistol and I like them a lot better than anything else near its price point.

Yes, you can carry the P-95 concealed, though it is a bit tall, so you will need a good holster.

Thanks for the help guys! I had been looking at a Glock when I spotted this. I don't really like the Glock triggers, never could get used to them, and I'm not crazy about the one size fits all 3rd gen. finger grooves either so I looked around to see what else was available. Davidsons has 51 of these P95s in stock and through my dealer it's $339 out the door or about $180 cheaper than the Glock 19 on sale. I can get a nice holster and a bunch of ammo for the difference in price!

I payed $375 otd for my kp95pr15. I'm wearing it right now in my fobus paddle holster. It's an accurate and reliable gun to be sure.

a dealer had a stainless steel decock only for sale this past weekend at our gun show for $388... it's times like that I really wish I had been born rich instead of so damn good looking.

I'd buy that puppy if you are in the market for a really good reliable semi-auto in 9mm. These 95s are a nice medium size handgun that perform well.

I don't know what prices are like in Pennsylvania but around here the blued P95 goes from $299-315.00. The stainless is usually $330-350.00. So, $339.00 out the door is good but not a screamin' deal or anything. I love my P95, its one of the most underrated guns of all time.

:wink: If you pay $100 more for the same gun, it will be much more reliable and accurate.... I can set you up with a brand new P95PR15 for $439.

Thanks for the help guys! After all your favorable comments, I ordered a KP95. To be honest I was debating between getting this gun or a Taurus 617, a 2" barreled 7 shot .357 mag. In the end your comments along with the fact that the Ruger is made in the USA were the deciding factors.
