P95 VS SP101

I am a new gun owner who has owns a P95 and 2" 357 SP101 w/crimson trace. I have owned both for guns for about a year now. They are for self protection and target shooting. I have put about 1000 FMJ rounds through each including an additional 300-500 hundred SD rounds through each gun. I am most comfortable using 38 and 38+P in my SP101 I have come to the conclusion that I am way better at shooting targets with my P95 as opposed to my SP101 even with the laser. Don't get me wrong I still really like shooting the SP101 and its a lot of fun. The Sp101 is my primary house gun and easier for my wife to handle. I just enjoy shooting the P95 better because of the overall feel and comfort and the fact that I have more control of it which allows me shoot better with it. Maybe it just takes more practice to master a short barrel revolver? Just wondering if some of you have similar experiences with these 2 guns.

I think it all depends on how you are firing the revolver. Are you firing it single action or double action? If the latter, then it will take a lot more practice to become proficient shooting DA. While you can shoot your P95 double action every shot by engaging the safety/decocker and then letting it return to the fire position, I think very few people do that. Heck most people almost always fire a DA/SA pistol SA while at the range. So if you are firing your revolver DA and the P95 SA, that really is not a fair comparison in my book.

I own a P90 and a Super Redhawk with a 7.5 inch barrel. When I fire the SRH SA, I tend to be more accurate than the P90 fired SA. If I fire the SRH DA, I tend to be more accurate with the P90. Save for a few shots when I first got the P90, I really have never fired it DA.
