P95 Ejection Question

I'm asking this question for my sister who just purchased her first firearm, a Ruger P95 9mm with a decocker. We went to the range where she put about 75 rounds through it. Everything worked properly except for the ejection of the cases, which flew back in her face or towards her left shoulder. I have never come across this issue before and would like some input on this. I shot her gun with the same result. She's asking for a face shield the next time we go to the range! :lol:

I welcome all thoughts and ideas on this.

I'm no pro but maybe the ejector is bent a little. It should be pointed straight forward when looking into the breach and horizontal when looking at the side of the pistol.

My 95 just kicks the shell a tad to the right. Easy to find the case later. My LC9 launches the shell in to the next county. I have used a bunch of brand shells and they all eject the same. Even those Russians steel shells.

Contact Ruger Customer Service. I had a P95 that would throw the empty cases straight back and some other issues (FTE, gouge in feed ramp). CS sent a prepaid shipping label and two weeks later I received it back. It ran like it should have from the beginning. Ruger replaced the extractor, ejector and barrell.

Before sending my P95 in, I could only shoot about 75 rounds before it would FTE. Afterwards, it would easily go to 500 rounds and no brass to the face.

What does it cost for that cause I got smacked in the face a few times when I was using my reloads. Then i fired the Federal Champion rounds and it wouldn't eject them and it would jam on the empty casing..... plus my magazine doesn't look like its going in all the way so im not sure what the issue could be. However, contrary to what I been told about steel rounds....my p95 fires them flawlessly so I'm not sure if its a light load issue or what as far as the FTE goes. I stumped on the magazine issue.
