P345 ejector problem

Im new to this forum, figured I could get the most help here for this problem. So I just got a used P345 and the ejector seems loose and kinda of flimsy, it wont stay down, and if it does stay down if u just breathe on it it snaps back up. Can someone help me out as what could the problem be, dont feel like spending 100+ on a gunsmith, I already spoke with Ruger customer service they want me to send the pistol in which is 35$ shipping and possible 85$ to fix it if it not a manufacturer problem. What should I do?

if i push down the ejector hold it then push in the blocker lever it locks in place. Yesterday I go the slide stuck because the ejector was caught on the firing pin block but i managed to get it off and get the slide off, but if i hold down the ejector with a wire or something and get the slide back on, would i be able to fire it ok, or would the loose ejector cause problems or safety issues
