Here's a picture of my 1st generation LCP. As you can see, the tip of the take-down pin has broken off. I did some research here, and I found I'm not to first to have this problem. I'd like to return the pin to Ruger, but I could use some advice on how to get it out.
Thanks.

Thanks; that was my first go-to. Lubed it up and tried a magnet, but nada. I know it's do-able since others here have spoken of sending the headless pin to Ruger. I suppose I could just call Ruger customer service; explain the problem, and ask them how to get the pin out.

I have the LCPII, 22LR and I'm not sure I would have bought this gun if I had thought about it having the same pain in the butt pin. I've never had a problem taking the pin out, but have had issues getting it back in on the LCP and other Rugers with this same design. Everytime I have to clean a Ruger (other than the super simple Mark IV) I think about how simple and easy it is to take apart my Glocks for cleaning and to re-assemble them. I think just sending the gun back to Ruger is the easiest solution to the broken pin problem.
