Outlook.com Email

I've suddenly started getting this message when I try to sign in on Outlook.com email:

401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

I have NO IDEA what it mans or how to correct it.
Any suggestions?

It appears to be a recent update created the problemand another update is supposed to correct it today.
“Preliminary root cause: A recent update introduced an issue impacting service availability. As a result, users are experiencing issues accessing their mailbox using multiple protocols. “ This statement is taken from the below link.

Thanks Pistolero; I gave up At 02:15 and went to bed; I did turn off the laptop completely; Got up later (13:00 ) turned on the laptop and viola there was outlook mai working as it was suppose to.
