Had one for a while then exwife took it, got a nice Mitch Rosen holster for it which I still have. Got my own recently have yet to do any thing but throw it in the safe let alone shoot it, hoping it eats and works as well as the first one, the new one was made or test fired in the early months of 2014. Just wanna hear some info from others. Thanks.

Have had my SR 22 just over 2 years now and I still enjoy shooting it as much as I did the first day I got it. Over 6,000 rounds through it has caused me to have to acquire a new hobby.... hunting for ammo! lol.

= best of both worlds.

Bought the plain jane model for wife in Dec '13. Nice little piece. We both like it. Easy take down/cleaning. No operational issues. GTG with std velocity or hi-v.

Seems to be feast or famine with these little guns. I owned one for a while. It did everything perfectly.

All the others I've been exposed to have failed miserably, either with accuracy and/or function. Made me wonder just how long I cold trust the one that I owned. I no longer own one.

Ergonomically, it was one of the most pleasing pistols I've ever shot.

WAYNO.

The only complaint I have with ours, is the same beach I've got with most other modern semi-auto's - The Blankety blank magazine disconnect/safety! Who's responsible for inventing that anyway? I'd like to have a little talk with him.

I've not had any luck with the SR22 pistol, tried three, all are gone.

Bersa is still my first choice in a .22 this size.

I am with WAYNO on the SR 22. Seems like those who like them, like them a lot and those that don't , just dont.

My SR performs just like the one is this video except mine is being used by someone a lot less proficient. lol

Maybe if you would have thought further ahead and stocked up on .22 rimfire, you might have enjoyed those SR 22's much more. Every single Ruger SR 22 that I've sold (8 so far), all the customers are elated with their purchase, and two of them are nuisance trappers.

Lots of folks have suffered broken take-down levers, here is one after-market replacement that many have reported as more durable and longer lasting (though it is not un-breakable).

Mine is a safe queen to ammo picky and reminded me of shooting a staple gun.

From my experience, having an open door, gun repair shop, your report is EXACTLY what I've seen. Now, when the first models came out, there were issues with the take-down latches, but Ruger was all over that issue and now the SR 22's are flying off the shelves. Funny thing is, I just got a huge sale flyer from a MAJOR Ruger distributor. All of the "LITE" models are on drastic sale, to get fast "turns" on that failing product. The Lite models are the most often, .22 rimfire pistols, to cross my bench over the last two years. Why they just don't give up on that "albatross" is a real wonder. I don't think we'll see the Lite version in the Ruger stable in another year or so.

I bought the SR-22 when they first came out. After approx 50 rounds I took it apart and cleaned it, had a few FTF which I shook off as being a little tight. I then noticed the slide was gouged, long story short it was replaced by Ruger N/C which it certainly should have been. Also had them send me different bases for the magazines since they were backwards. Got the gun back shot around 300 plus rds, always some malfunctions and quite honestly lackluster accuracy when compared to the 3.25 inch barrel of the Bersa Model 23 in 22 caliber. Ergonomically comfortable, ok trigger in S/A but overall disappointing since Ruger was touting this gun as digesting all 22 ammo except subsonic rounds. Since it was lighter than the all steel slide/body of the Bersa it actually had a bit of snap when it was discharged. Surprising for a .22 IMHO... As I stated on another post somewhere I'd give the Ruger SR-22 ( mine at least ) three stars out of five and that's being generous.

I've had mine for a while now and love it!! It has been extremely reliable, and a lot of fun to shot....I also had an M&P.22, but I much prefer the SR22. I eventually sold the M&P....

I just bought that same laser. Never used one. Literature says from factory its sighted in at 50 feet. Did you have to make any adjustments and what distance do you sight yours in at? I'll only be shooting at an indoor range so the max is 25 yards but I would think I'd just shoot this gun from 7-10 yards (it's just a fun range gun). So would you recommend I sight it in at 30 feet or what? Like I said, new to lasers (the one time I used one it was jumping all over the target, I was pitiful with it  )

Thanks

Mine was one of the earlier guns when they were still hard to find, I'm wondering if it's to late to get a free shipping label from them to return it to fix the miss firing jamming problem? :? might shoot it once in a while if it wasn't so ammo picky and jam every 2nd or 3rd round.

Have had the SR22 for close to a year with weekly range trips. Over all, very satisfied. I find almost all issues are ammo related. Recently got a brick of Win. Super X 36 gr CPHP. I have at least 1 or2 issues in every mag, FTFire, FTE and damaged ammo that will not feed. Reserved the Win for my LCR22 and now again have very few issues.

My new in box SR-22 had to make a trip back to the factory for the commonly reported magazine latch failure. Since it has been back it has been just about perfect. Had a few FTE from low powered bulk ammo, but it eats up CCI high velocity and Stingers like a champ. Got a couple of extra mags for it so I can have 41 rounds of Stingers ready to go from its riding place in the vehicle console. Love it.

The last SR22 I had was recently sold as a "used pistol". I hadn't made it known that I had used one to sell and was testing the base I made for a Fast Fire III optic. The guy really wanted the pistol, along with the CT laser and the FF3 and base, but only the pistol was sold.

I now have another SR 22 on the way here next week, but this one has the threaded barrel. So, now the FF3 base testing can continue.
