I'm not sure about the saying... but I do like the looks of this one!

My 44 Special in Black Leather!

Here is a picture showing the cool thong installation. You can't tell from tis pic so much, but the thong is not visable on the inside of the holster. It is sandwiched between the two pieces of leather. I've only seen this one time before and that was in the Bianchi Class! It's really cool, if I do say so myself.

I started leather work about september..... I'm learning at a fair pace!

I started by making sheaths and finally took the plunge and added holsters to the mix. now it turns out that I like holster making much better! I just learned to make gun belts with loops.. did a "test" belt and it was not bad! So...... my next project will be a nice gun belt for my 44. I'm a southpaw so it's time I made one for my own use!

Yes! And, being that it is lined, it's a pretty cool custom feature! I like thongs vs. Snaps... this will have the thong and it will fit between the two layers so the actual thong part will not be showing inside the holster!! A cool trick I saw John Bianchi teach on his custom holster class.

I'll show pics of it when done. This one is about 90% done.... I need to work the edge a little more and add the thong (it's punched for it already) and then put a nice finish on the thing.

Should be done this weekend sometime.

Thanks! I've studied this stuff a LOT before touching leather. And.... spent a ton on equiptment (like $7,500 +!!!). I think it'll pay off though!
