old photos

I'll bet everyone on here has a box of old photos in the family closet. I found this last night and wanted to share. Wondering if that is an old Stevens or H&R long barreled 12 ga my Grandfather is carrying. We called him Pops and that's his sister Eloise. Probably about late 1890?. He was 91 or 92 when he died.

That’s a neat old photograph. I’ve got some of the Daguerreotype pictures and the Tin Type pictures. They are pretty cool. Not very big though, and not in the best shape. But best in that they come in these little book type frames that fold up.

How big is your picture? It looks in good shape.

It's in a small stand--up metal frame. probably 6" tall

Take a photograph of your oil colored photo. That is one way to get a copy of it.

My grandmother with my aunts, uncles and my mother in lower RH corner. My mother (RIP) was born in 1917, so you can figure out roughly when this pic was taken. She was the youngest. My G'mother was born in 1893 in Phoenix, AZ Territory.

No toys to buy in WWII so my dad made everything. He did not make the fire truck but, I got to ride in it on parade days. He was a manly man in the 30s.... and then a Western Union man after that (showing off for mom). And this is what they produced... oh well.

A pic of my great great grandmother and grandfather and their brood probably from around 1870s.
My dad (Army) and his childhood friend George (USMC) in Korea 1952-54.
Somehow George found dads unit was in the area and made a “social call”.
My Dad said you cold not imagine how it felt to see a friendly face from home when you’re half way around the world and people are shooting at you.
I think their faces show the happiness.

Can be restored. I can work from the original (always best), since I photograph on a 51 mlxl camera using color corrected flat lights that are cros-polarized with camera polarization, high=end macro lenses, and scaled to original size and optimize resolution. From there, on a RAW file, magic can be done in processing. Then it is a matter of detail work in Adobe Photoshop and printing to original or larger size.
Costs involve copy work at flat rate, processing time and photoshop time (priced by the minutes) and actual print costs on a high-end archival printer (print life estimated to be 200 years). I provide all files on flash drives or DVD.. Email me directly and I will give you expense, but it is really affordable.
