I’ve been sorting through some family history. Old photos and documents trying to figure out what I need to keep and what’s not going to be appreciated by those who come after I’m gone. Here are a couple of pictures taken at Christmas 1956. I guess it shows I had an affinity for firearms even back when I was nine.

So cool. I love old black and white pictures.

My dad is 93. He has been a photographer most of his life.

What he has done is scan non digital photos. Then organized everything by family or location or date. Some of each.

He’s given me external hard drives with all his pictures. And last Christmas he sent my daughter a hard drive with a lot of pictures but more of what she might be interested in.

You never know who will be interested in old photos. They don’t take up a lot of space. Just save the originals in an old shoe box or something.

I have several gazillion photos. At one time I had a darkroom and enlarger. Printed untold number of B/W film. Practically wore out a Pentax ME-Super and all sorts of lens. This is just one of numerous containers full of photos. Plus the two above it are 78 vinal records. I have some recorded on one side only.
