I have a question on a 1022 I’m looking out at a gun show today. It’s satin black receiver and barrel with a white maple stock. It’s listed as serial number 0014-02005 model 1022 SKU is 31129.Oddball 1022? I’m wondering if it’s worth picking up just to say you have something that’s that strange looking. Asking $369. What do you think.

That they are asking MSRP for a standard 10/22, and that individual preferences
are just that, individual preferences. - - - To me, no, it would not be worth that.

This is a Maple stocked sporter. Yep, I can find one today, online, for $320, and even less at other places that are out of stock. And I can add a transfer fee when my dealer receives it. Or I can pay the bird-in-the-hand price, today, and take possession today, and I'm done.

I buy online only because dealers just don't stock cool stuff. And I'd rather pay a little premium to be able to handle the product before I buy it. I don't think $369 is outrageous.

I just picked up a pistol yesterday I ordered online. My FFL said the covid scarcity was just starting to correct itself, when the riots have again made many things unavailable through his normal channels. :?

I remember the fun times like when the Ruger and S&W war was raging in the late 80s, early 90s... and suddenly the distributor who your local shop dealt with had to choose to carry Ruger or S&W, since they could no longer do both... then when a new model came out (and you waited Ruger's usual year between intro and availability), you had to hope your local shop was still on the list with the Ruger distributor!
